Our second jelly roll race

At our July 2017 we held our second jelly roll race.  Everyone enjoyed the first one so much, we just had to do it again.

These quilt tops were all made in less than two hours, and once quilted, they will be donated to the Cosy Kids charity.  They will donate them to children in New Zealand who are in need of extra support.

Two quilts didn't quite get finished on the day, but it was worth the wait to see them the following month.

The 12 x 12 Exhibition is open NOW

Yes, we had the opening night last night, and the quilts look great hanging in the exhibition space at the Hutt Arts Society in Myrtle St, Lower Hutt.

Congratulations to Lyn White who won Best in Show for her quilt called "Light Show at the Museum":

Who would have thought that the Pink category would draw the most entries!

There are 12 different categories which also include Flora and Fauna:

and Round the World

Thank you to Kirsten Duncan who was the judge.  Kirsten was part of the Twelve by Twelve International Art Quilt challenge and some of her mini quilts are also on display.

Here's some more quilts in case you can't get along to the exhibition:
